ConnectWest Recruitment is currently seeking a HSE Manager to join a highly experienced management team to deliver Perth based commercial building projects. This role will support project/site managers on multiple sites to ensure the successful and safe delivery of the projects.

This position will suit someone with a genuine passion for quality building who can deliver safe and high-quality outcomes for all stakeholders. You will be hands-on in all aspects of projects and will be supported by a HSE Coordinator.

If you're passionate about driving culture and safety and have a passion for safe work practices though direct engagement with operational teams to overseas key safety systems, training and compliance programs this role could be for you.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead the development and implementation of site health and safety programs
- Conduct site inspections and engage daily with crews to ensure safe work practices and immediate response to hazards
- Oversee incident investigations and root cause analysis. Drive corrective action to prevent reoccurrence.
- Lead training programs for employees across departments, including new hire orientations.
- Coordinate safety audits
- Support rescue and emergency response initiatives
- Monitor safety KPIs, conduct risk assessments, and implement plans

Qualifications:
- 4-10 years in Health & Safety
- Prior experience in commercial building
- Strong knowledge of current regulations
- Comfortable working in a site based environment 75% of the time
